As expected from battle bites it tastes great. Recommend

I like 'Battle Bites' and have reviewed a few of their flavours - all positively. This one also did not disappoint. If you've tried their 'Caramel Pretzel' one, this variety has a very similar flavour profile. There's something about the way 'Battle Snacks' make their protein bars (I think they bake them rather than extrude them??) that makes them taste like a candy bar rather than some nutrition oriented protein bar. But there's 20g of protein in each pack (like a 'Bounty Bar' you get 2 snacks per pack) which is a pretty decent amount. And I love that they come in that format (the two bars per packet) because it makes it easy to divide up, if like me you don't always want a whole bar at once and you don't like the idea of a sticky bar going stale or drying up. I like to eat one just before I take my meds first thing in the morning. Today when these arrived I gave one bar to the other half to try too and he was pleasantly surprised. He hates a lot of protein bars because of that "protein bar taste" that normally puts him off. But this was a nice chewy, gooey, sweet caramel flavoured little snack that definitely hit the spot. I don't know why all the shops seem to be intent upon stocking just 'Grenade' protein bars (which are really nice too, don't get me wrong) when 'Battle Bites' are a great UK based product with some imaginative flavours, decent amount of protein and good price point. But, I'm more than happy to buy boxes of them from Website because the subscribe & save cost is a nice bonus and it means there are always snacks on hand for both me and my other half. If you liked their 'Caramel Pretzel' variety, you should try these. Or if you're a fan of 'Caramac' or 'Gold Bars' but are looking for a low-sugar snack with some handy extra protein, you'll probably really like these 'Sticky Toffee' bars too.
